Joan is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Licensed Cosmetologist.
She attended Body Wisdom Massage School and College Of Massage and Healing
Arts. She has a combined 16 years experience in the field of hairstyling and
massage. She was also a Flight Attendant with American Airlines and a Flight
Supervisor with Access Air of Des moines. She enjoys spending her free time
with her husband, 3 adult children and 10 grandchildren.
Joan's massage
technique can be described as strong but gentle bodywork with dedication to
total satisfaction. She uses a heated table and a warm moist heating pad on the
body for added comfort and relaxation and follows up with biofreeze lotion to
flush the toxins. She takes the time to evaluate each client before, during and
after the massage and also explains what she is doing and why she is doing it.

session to address your specific needs through touch and communication. She
offers myofascial muscle unwinding techinique along with deep tissue, trigger
point release for pain and discomfort relief as well as swedish and hot stone
massage for relaxation and stress relief. Joan's goal as a healing therapist is
to continue to enhance her training and knowledge so she can be as effective as
possible in dealing with simple muscle tension or a chronic painful condition
